On Good Authority (De Buena Tinta)
Calm voice.
Stop to listen.
On Good Authority (De Buena Tinta) is a project to disseminate and promote reading with a literary meeting format, consisting of a weekly meeting with a renowned Spanish writer (novelists, poets, playwrights) but also with professionals from non-literary fields (journalism, science, biology , anthropology, music, etc.) who have published something throughout their career.
But in addition, On Good Authority has an added value, which is its connection with heritage.
Indeed, heritage is a fundamental part of this project, proposing that literary encounters take place in spaces that belong to the heritage, material or natural, of the towns in which this project is implemented: historic buildings, hermitages, farmhouses, towers and fortifications, historic town centers, parks, gardens and natural spaces. We also consider intangible heritage, such as popular festivals or fairs.
And not only in the cities; the rural environment of our territory has an important heritage, a legacy of the different civilizations that have passed through these lands: Iberians, Greeks, Phoenicians, Romans, Muslims, Christians. That is why in almost all regions we can find municipalities protected as Historical-Artistic Sites and, of course, Assets of Cultural Interest.
Heritage is a key tool for the comprehensive formation of people, paying special attention to the cultivation of sensitivity, creativity, emotions and thought. And this existing relationship between heritage and emotions is what leads the On Good Authority project to deepen the connection between heritage and literature, proposing encounters with their own personality, in environments that speak to us about the past and that stimulate the feeling of belonging to a place.
